All about me...
My creative talent is inherited from three generations of artists in my family. My grandfather was a woodcarver and my Mother is an accomplished Primitive Artist. Art has always been my passion but until recently I spent most of my life in Corporate America running in the corporate rat race. I finally surrendered to doing what I love--textile art! My creations are one of kind works of art; and represent who I am, my southern heritage and the passion I feel for brush painting on silk and creating colorful designs.
Hurricane Katrina impacted us in ways that changed our lives forever. My Crescent City Angel and Fleur de Lis pieces depict my emotion, sadness and elation for the re-birth of New Orleans. I am blessed to be a part of it. Helen Reese
